To receive and hold VNX assets on XRPL or Stellar, your wallet needs to establish a trust line. It simply lets your wallet “trust” and accept that specific asset. Below are quick step-by-step guides on how to set up a trust line on both XRPL and Stellar, along with useful resources.
A trust line on XRPL allows your wallet to receive tokens issued by another account. Without it, you cannot hold issued tokens other than XRP. You can do it using XRP Ledger Services https://xrpl.services/ and\or your wallet.
For an account to hold and trade assets other than XLM, it must establish a trust line with the generating account of that particular asset. Each trust line reserves a small balance of XLM.
Step-by-step:
1. Open your Stellar wallet. Any Stellar-compatible wallet works (Lobstr, Solar, StellarTerm, Freighter, etc.).
2. Go to wallet’s asset directory and press Add an asset
3. Enter the asset code and/or issuer address (public key of the asset generator).
4. Click “Add Asset” or “Trust Asset.”
5. Approve the transaction (typically ~0.5 XLM reserve per trust line).
6. The trust line is now active, and you can send the asset to your wallet.
